Mr. Michael Jacobs, P.Eng. President

|
Mr. Michael Jacobs graduated in 1985 from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering. After 18 months with the Engineering Department of the City of Vancouver, Mr. Jacobs then completed his Masters Degree in Construction Management from Stanford University and joined Emil Anderson Construction in 1988 as Project Manager for Dilworth Mountain Estates, a 750-acre residential development in Kelowna, B.C.
Mr. Jacobs became General Manager of Land Development and Housing in 1996 and in 1998 was promoted to Vice President of Emil Anderson Construction. Mr. Jacobs has extensive road building and heavy construction experience and project highlights include Glenrosa Interchange Design Construct, Kincolith Extension, and Vancouver Island Highway Project.
Mr. Jacobs started Dilworth Quality Homes Inc. in 1989 and to date, this Company has built over 500 homes, townhomes and condominiums in the Central and North Okanagan, receiving many Okanagan and Provincial awards for excellence.
Mr. Jacobs was a founding Member of the Kelowna Chapter of the Urban Development Institute and was President of the Kelowna Chapter from September 96 to January 99.  |

Mr. Frank Jacobs, P.Eng. Vice President & Director of Operations |

Mr. Frank Jacobs graduated in 1989 with a BAsc. in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia. While attending university, he worked for Emil Anderson Construction (EAC) Inc. during the summer construction seasons as a driller's helper, labourer, and survey rodman. Mr. Jacobs joined EAC full time for the Port Mellon project in 1989. In 1990, he returned to Vancouver where he worked for five years as a structural engineer with Jones Kwong Kishi Consulting Engineers.
Mr. Jacobs re-joined EAC in 1995 and has progressed from site engineer, Superintendent and Project Manager positions to his current position as Vice President & Director of Operations. Under his immediate supervision, EAC completed numerous construction projects utilizing conventional contracts as well as Alliance and Design Build contracts.
Adding to Emil Anderson's reputation for innovation, Mr. Jacobs was a key member of the Alliance Team that re-designed and built the Sea to Sky Test Section utilizing new wall systems and suspended structures to construct two additional lanes in a very limited space. Mr. Jacobs was also instrumental in Value Engineering the Six Mile to Rafter’s Pullout highway Project.  |

Mr. Robert Hasell, P. Eng. General Manager Emil Anderson Maintenance

Mr. Robert Hasell started working with Emil Anderson Construction (EAC) in 1991 and worked on various projects as a driller’s helper, survey rodman, and laborer through 1995. Mr. Hasell pursued post secondary education and graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2000. During the course of his education he worked as an engineer in training on various Projects including the Glenrosa Interchange Project and the Inland Island Highway Project.
Within EAC, Mr. Hasell progressed from Project Engineer to Superintendent. As a Superintendent he managed several projects including the Kincolith Extension Project, the Vedder Interchange Project, and the Whistler Sliding Centre.
In 2006, Mr. Hasell joined Emil Anderson Maintenance Co. Ltd., as the Assistant General Manager and became the Operations Manager shortly thereafter. As Operations Manager he managed and was responsible for all aspects of the Highway Maintenance Contract for Area 7.
On April 1, 2008 Mr. Hasell became the General Manager of Emil Anderson Maintenance Co. Ltd.  |
